Ramage Lewis was one of the first CPA firms to identify and implement the concept of a family office hub 20 years ago. Terri C. Owen focuses her practice on tax planning and compliance services for high net worth individuals, executives, and their families.
Prior to joining Ramage Lewis in September 2006, Terri had seven years of tax experience in public accounting and five years’ experience in private industry as an Accountant and Chief Financial Officer. She worked for two years with Brigman, Holcomb, and Weeks, P.A., until the merger with Elliott Davis LLC in July 2000, where she served an additional five years as a Tax Senior, specializing in tax compliance, planning, and consultation for family limited partnerships, individuals, trusts, estates, and corporate entities.
Terri is a member of the Greenville Estate Planning Council and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She serves on the Capacity Building Grants Review Committee of the Community Foundation of Greenville, serving a third term. Additionally, she is serving a fifth term as the Chair of the Stewardship Committee of Glenwood Baptist Church; she has served on Medical Missions Team and the Children’s Council and currently serves on the Fellowship Committee. She has served three times as an international missionary to the Volcano Irazu Region of Costa Rica and the Hogar Casa de Pan orphanage. She served ten terms as the Treasurer of the Easley Business and Professional Women’s Club and has formerly served five years on the Golf Tournament Committee of the Greater Easley Chamber of Commerce. Terri was a nominee for the 2005 Pickens County Career Woman of the Year Award and was the first runner up for the 2011 Pickens County Woman of Accomplishment Award.
Terri received her Bachelor of Science Degree, cum laude, in Accounting from Clemson University. She received the designation of Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 2000 and designation of Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) in 2014 by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.Meet Martha Louise R. Martha Louise R. Lewis has been a trusted advisor for high net worth individuals, executives, and their families for over thirty years. She serves as the leader of the firm in all aspects of client service. In addition to tax planning and compliance services, she has extensive experience with estate and trust administration, trust funding issues, post-mortem planning, and IRS controversy resolution. Martha Louise started her firm in December 1998 when she saw a need to provide quality, hands-on tax and financial planning services that was becoming difficult to provide economically in the Big Four firms. Prior to starting Ramage Lewis, she served as a Senior Manager at KPMG in the Personal Financial Consulting practice in Greenville, SC and Charlotte, NC for two years. Prior to KPMG, she served as a Senior Manager at Ernst & Young in the Personal Financial Planning practice in Greenville, SC for over eleven years.
Martha Louise is a Trustee of the Board and Treasurer of the Southern Federal Tax Institute. She is an active member of the Greenville Estate Planning Council, having previously served on the Board and as President in 2000 and 2001. Martha Louise currently serves on the Board of the Investment/Finance Committee of the Community Foundation of Greenville, after serving on the Board for ten years. Martha Louise is a current member and a part of the inaugural class of Greenville Women Giving. She also serves as the President of the Board of the Greenville Zoo Educational Foundation. Martha Louise has previously served on the Board of the Greenville County Museum of Art. She has previously served as Board President of the Christ Church Endowment Corporation for six years, as a member of the Christ Church Finance Committee for twenty years, including as assistant treasurer and treasurer several terms, on the Board of Meals on Wheels, and also as Chair of the Board of Trustees for the Meals on Wheels Endowment Corporation.
Martha Louise received her Bachelor of Arts Degree, cum laude, in Economics and Finance from Vanderbilt University. She continued her post graduate studies in accounting at the University of South Carolina and Clemson University.
